Dortmund, 11th May 2022
To promote an entrepreneurial spirit and to develop ideas for one’s own business model are two goals of a two-day workshop at ISAS. The 'Falling Walls' Foundation and the Leibniz Association are organising the event titled 'From PhD to Innovator'.
On Wednesday and Thursday, May 11 and 12, 2022, 20 Leibniz Fellows from different research backgrounds come together to hone their business skills. Besides an introduction to entrepreneurship as well as the development and presentation of own business ideas, the programme includes a presentation of the Leibniz Start-up Service and a Q&A Session with established entrepreneurs. In addition, the participants can join a guided lab tour at ISAS Campus.

On Wednesday, the workshop 'From PhD to Innovator' started at ISAS Campus.

Exchange brings down walls
The event is part of a programme called 'Young Entrepreneurs in Science' of the 'Falling Walls' Foundation. The international science platform based in Berlin aims to connect science, business and society. In addition to various events such as Falling Walls Venture, Falling Walls Lab, Falling Walls Circle, Falling Walls Engage as well as the Berlin Science Week, the foundation has been hosting the annual Falling Walls Conference with high-profile guests in Berlin on November 9, the day of the fall of the Berlin Wall, since 2009. In line with the spirit of the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, the direct exchange offers the opportunity to overcome barriers and borders.
