Crucial forecast: Biomarkers for liver cancer
- Improving the detection of liver cancer in the blood and tissue
- Better and earlier diagnostics
- Treatment of patients already possible in the early stages of the disease
Known diagnostic biomarkers for liver cancer are insufficient for reliable diagnostics because they are not specific and sensitive enough. The new biomarkers are able to improve the diagnostics of liver cancer in the blood and tissue. This will enable an improved early detection of cancers, and therapeutic monitoring in the various treatment strategies in the long term.
One possible application for this invention is its use as a diagnostic test or for monitoring the treatment.
