Albert Sickmann elected as speaker of Section D of the Leibniz Association

During the Annual Meeting 2017 of the Leibniz Association in Berlin, Albert Sickmann was elected as speaker of Section D. On 1 January 2018, he will take the office for two years.

15th Dortmund Science Day

On 21 November, the Dortmund Science Day took place for the 15th time. Participants were invited to join the bus tours to scientific facilities around Dortmund - one of these tours was headed for ISAS.

New thrombosis radar aims to check the death rate of cardiovascular diseases

ISAS scientists have developed a method for an individual risk assessment of thrombosis. On the occasion of the World Thrombosis Day on 13 October, they aimed to rise awareness for the threats of this disease.

Gala Dinner with Joe Biden: Cancer Moonshot actuates global cancer research

Albert Sickmann, head of ISAS, represented the institute at the "HUPO2017 Global Leadership Gala Dinner" on 16 September in Dublin, where he met Joe Biden, former Vice President of the United States. The event was catalysed by the Cancer Moonshot initiative.

New car: ISAS drives with electric power
