From November 11 to 13, the fourth Lipidomics Forum took place at ISAS Campus. About 80 participants visited the international conference, which was hosted in Dortmund for the second time after 2016 and was again organised by researchers from ISAS and the Research Centre Borstel.
The Lipidomics Forum was established in 2015 to offer Lipidomics researchers an overview of current lipidomics research and modern lipidomics methods. This year, the top issues for discussion were the standardisation and harmonisation of lipidomics processes and the importance of lipidomics in the clinical setting ("from bench to bedside"). Eight international keynote speakers were invited to Dortmund, and two "Best presentation awards" were granted: Marcus Höring from the University Hospital Regensburg and Bing Peng from ISAS each won 500 Euro for their contributions.
The conference website provides you with a review on the programme and the whole conference. The 5th Lipidomics Forum will take place in Borstel in November 2019.
