Grant number EFRE 1.8/13
Within the scope of this project, an application laboratory for infrared laser ellipsometry was set up at ISAS Berlin.
Optical spectroscopy methods such as infrared ellipsometry are important analytical methods with a wide range of applications from materials science to biomedicine. They offer very variable application options, since they can be used contactless and label-free in various measuring environments. In the technologically relevant area of hybrid materials for nano- and microstructured surfaces, biosensors, biotemplates and optoelectronic components, spatially resolved polarisation-optical measurementscan be used in particular for the structural analysis of surfaces.
The infrared laser ellipsometer supplied by SENTECH Instruments will be available in the ISAS application lab for the long term and will be further developed and optimized. In addition, it will be used at ISAS together with scientific and industrial cooperation partners from the immediate vicinity in Berlin.
