ISAS works together with a multitude of national and international partners from research, science and industry. Cooperation with universities in research and teaching is of particular importance. ISAS is closely linked by joint appointments to TU Dortmund University, Ruhr University Bochum, University Duisburg-Essen and Technical University Berlin.
In addition, ISAS is integrated into the Leibniz Association, a vibrant, interdisciplinary network of non-university research institutes. These institutes are bundled into a comprehensive range of specialist disciplines in the Leibniz Research Alliances. ISAS is engaged in two alliances.
