Research

The research topic of the Spectrometer group comprises the development of instruments, techniques and methods for various fields of application within the optical spectrometry. A focal point of our work is the coupling of novel spectrometer assemblies to sophisticated array detectors inside the wide wavelength range from the VUV to the MIR.

The routine availability of an extremely large number of spectral data with high spectral resolution and high wavelength accuracy offers new possibilities in spectroscopy. Application areas can be found in basic and applied research as well as in routine analysis and process control.
