The administration committee of the Leibniz Association has elected Jürgen Bethke, commercial manager at ISAS, the new spokesperson. The committee conduces to the exchange of experiences between the member facilities. It also sets up special working teams that attend to commercial, administrative, judicial or finance-related questions. 10.10.11: Albert Sickmann appointed new Chairman of the board of directors

ISAS announces a change of leadership in the board of directors: Prof. Norbert Esser, who had been Chairman of the board since 2008, is going to resign this post at the end of October. The board of trustees appointed Prof. Albert Sickmann, head of the bioanalytics department, as the new Chairman. Prof. Esser is going to concentrate on the needs of the Berlin part of the institute and the necessary modernisation of its infrastructure for the next years.

17.03.11: Good marks for ISAS

Yesterday, the senate of the Leibniz society gave its opinion on four Leibniz institutes. ISAS was amongst them – and got excellent marks for its research and structure. The institute was described as “unique in Europe” and the senate recommended that the institute should be funded by the federal and the state government for another seven years.
The senate’s comment can be found on the Leibniz homepage.
