22nd ISIMS conference
From July 21 to 25, the International Society for Ion Mobility Spectrometry (ISIMS) organizes the annual ISIMS conference in Boppard in the Rhine Valley. The conference is designed to promote free exchange of ideas between scientists, engineers, practitioners, technical program managers and industrial organizations for personal and professional technical networking. Talk topics include fundamental knowledge on IMS as well as technical challenges and new applications in quality control or pharmaceutics.

20th Workshop on Micromethods in Protein Chemistry

From June 24 to 26, the 20th Workshop on Micromethods in Protein Chemistry will take place at the Ruhr University in Bochum. The conference features numerous talks on modern methods in protein analysis and additional hands-on courses on June 27 and 28. It is open to all interested protein and proteome researchers.
Talk topics include new strategies for analyzing proteins and protein complexes, proteome dynamics, all-omics analysis and an insight into genetics, genomics and sequencing. In addition, a Young Talent Award will be given to a diploma student, PhD student or Postdoc up to the age of 33.

Open Night of Sciences at Berlin and Potsdam

On June 8, 2012, scientific facilities around Berlin and Potsdam invite the public to the "smartest night of the year": The Open Night of Sciences. 75 universities, research institutes and technology companies open their doors from 4 pm to midnight, doing experiments and answering questions. ISAS is going to participate in the event, putting up an experiment booth at the Helmholtz-Zentrum für Materialien und Energie.
